Can you make the weather outside just a LITTLE more frightful? Please?

Wordless Wednesday

Please?

Our dirt road in the snow five years ago.
The closest we’ve come since then is an ice storm.

Not exactly the same.

  1. “Let it Snow” is one of my very favorite Christmas songs. I hope you get some snow this season.

  2. We lived in Maine for several years and I have blizzard pictures from easter. People were making 8 foot snow rabbits – a real shame.

  3. Hey, sorry if you get two comments from me, but my computer just froze and I had to refresh it. I lived in Maine for several years and got my fill of snow. I have pictures from an Easter blizzard. People were building 8 foot snow rabbits – a shame.

  4. Beautiful…I remember I used to love looking at the Winter Wonderland from inside my 70 degree house in VA. Driving in it was another story.

  5. gorgeous!

    I love your pictures!

  6. snow = good
    ice = not good
kids home from school = good (kid’s perspective)

  7. That quilt thingy doesn’t look anything like me. I’m not even that fond of purple. How come other people get their faces on here? Is there some kind of litmus test?

  8. You all made great points. It’s true that I love LOOKING at snow. I really hate being out in it.

And @katdish – ICE is hellish. Esp when you live in a pine forest. Pine trees don’t really like to be iced over….

Also @katdish? I have NO IDEA how to give you a face in comments instead of a quilt. Of course I think the quilt could be some kind of Rorschach test for readers… What do you see in it? ;)

  9. Love it!

On another note, I tagged you for a major award!

  10. I see a giant “X” where my face should be as if to say, “Your face is not worthy to be in my comments section.”

  11. This is normally what my world looks like from Halloween until June(seriously, it totally looked like this June 18th and killed my whole garden), but not one lick of snow. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Not that I’m complaining about 60 degree days in December…but I do want a little of that white stuff for Christmas.
